Band Camp 2010 |
|
|
|
Band Camp 2010 will be held July 26 - August 6, 12.00pm - 8.00pm daily, excluding weekends. July 26 - 27 will be for freshman, student leadership, ALL members of drumline (bring a drum, harness, stand, music, sticks, athletic shoes/ shorts, and water), and band staff only. July 28 - August 6 is mandatory for all band students.
Here's what a typical day at band camp will look like...

Prior to participating in band and color guard, all students must undergo a physical examination by a doctor and by cleared for participation. There are 2 forms that need to be filled out and turned in:
1) Pre-Participation Physical Evaluation Form
2) Participation Card
Please note: Band camp attendance is mandatory for those who wish to participate in the field show season. No excuses for vacation, doctor appointments, etc. will be accepted. Please plan to be at all sessions of band camp for the entirety of the sessions.
If you have questions, concerns, or conflicts regarding the dates for band camp it is important to bring them to the attention of the band director as soon as possible.
More information regarding band camp will be posted as it becomes available.

Band Camp - We Need Your Help! |

During the 2 weeks of band camp this year, the boosters will be setting up and serving dinner for the Band, Color Guard, and Staff at a cost of $5 per day, per person. As you can imagine this is a hefty task. Much of the fee that is charged for dinner goes towards purchasing the main dish. We have parents that have already agreed to take on the main dishes for the whole two weeks, however we need help with additional items such as fruit, desserts, snacks, napkins, plates, cups, etc. Any donations will be greatly appreciated. We need enough for 2 weeks of lunches for 60+ students & staff. Any extra donations will be put to use throughout the remainder of the school year.
If you'd like to donate items or time during band camp please email or call us. This is a great way to get involved with the band boosters and get to know the staff and kids in the band and color guard!
